Helping a mental health charity thrive amidst change
A national youth-serving mental health charity needed to hire a new executive director to take over from the founder who was stepping down after 10 years at the helm. We started the search by consulting extensively with staff, community partners and stakeholders to understand the values of the organization. Through these conversations and in-depth research, and by tapping into our networks, we developed a long-list of diverse candidates, including several who represented various equity-seeking groups. The board of directors hired a candidate whose values aligned with the charity and brought proven strength in fundraising and business development. The new CEO has helped the organization continue to thrive.
