Finding senior IT leadership for a remote mining services company
Our client, a global mining services company, had been growing quickly both organically and through acquisitions. Now faced with disparate technology platforms, financial systems and software, they were in need of a senior IT executive to lead the company’s IT strategy as global CIO. Not only was this a newly created position, adding to our challenges was the remote location of our client’s operations and the short timeframe in which he had to hire. From the six qualified candidates we brought our client, they hired an individual from an international manufacturer who had IT leadership skills and was a great cultural fit. The new CIO has since developed a new IT strategy and implementation plan for the company.
