Finding new leadership when a long-serving CEO retires
Our client’s CEO was retiring after 33 years of service. She had joined her association when it was a fraction of the size it is today, and her pending retirement was causing trepidation among its members. We not only engaged staff and stakeholders in the search for a new CEO, we put together a communications plan that gave members an opportunity to provide input into the kind of leader they wanted, and to recommend candidates. The search resulted in a strong long list of qualified candidates and a finalist who was unanimously endorsed by our client’s national board.
