Four Corners Group celebrated its 10th anniversary with an artful twist on the shores of Lake Ontario at the Burlington Art Gallery. There is a certain “art” to the executive search business, and the parallel of the venue and its treasures was not lost on the team. Surrounded by unique and diverse works, the team appreciated the skill and talent of the Canadian artists and their embodiment of excellence in attention, detail, care and passion.
From the beginning, Founding Partner Kelly Farrell envisioned a firm that would be different. A firm that would truly engage clients to better understand them, to partner with them, and to deliver innovative solutions. A firm that not only solved short-term problems, but helped organizations and people also achieve long-term goals through their people. Ten years later, they have achieved their goal.
Four Corners Group began as a small boutique in 2007. The following year, global economic turmoil hit the market, but the conviction and dedication of the small team proved invaluable to its clients and the fledgling enterprise superseded the prevailing market dynamics. While other search firms were contracting, Four Corners began a pattern of growth that continues unabated today.
In 2008, Four Corners Group became the Canadian representative for InterSearch, a global partnership of retainer-based executive search firms. This partnership contributed to Four Corners Group being recognized as one of Canada’s premier search firms with broad reach as their expertise began to be relied upon within a global network of elite firms and companies.
As the decade moved on, Four Corners Group continued to refine its approach and perfect its service offering. Today, Four Corners Group is one of North America’s most successful retainer based executive search firms, differentiated by its unique service offering, compelling business model and dedicated and experienced team.

In a news release made earlier today, the Government of Ontario has announced that the recruitment for the province’s first Chief Scientist is underway. Four Corners Group will lead this large-scale international search on behalf of the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Science and looks forward to receiving expressions of interest once the Position Profile is released in the coming weeks.
“This recruitment is unique in that the Ministry undertook a comprehensive public consultation process to help develop the mandate for the Chief Scientist,” says Suzanne Clark, the Partner overseeing the recruitment. “The Chief Scientist will report to the Minister of Research, Innovation and Science on an ongoing basis and to the Premier on key scientific matters, so there is a great deal of interest around this recruitment and its outcome from members in the scientific community and the broader public.”
